OMI:DIY CUSTOM CONTEST

Plastic Culture and Damn! I Love Indonesia presents Faces of Indonesia, OMI:DIY Custom Contest that will be held at Plastic Culture, Level One in East Mall, Grand Indonesia. Win a total prize of Rp. 3.000.000, - and surprises from Munky King, the creator of OMI:DIY. The exhibition will kick off on the 27th of May and the winner will be announced on a later date (TBD).



To join, just simply get your OMI:DIY for Rp. 100.000, - and register for the contest (only Rp. 10.000) at The Other Culture and Plastic Culture. The best nine OMI design will be immortalized at Plastic Culture for eternity. Registration for Faces of Indonesia begins this Saturday, April 30th 2011.

This contest has one category and that is FACES of INDONESIA. Your task is to interpret Indonesia and plant it on your favorite OMI. You are more than welcome to submit more than one OMI (if you want to do a series).

BOYCOTT RESIN FIGURE BY ABELL OCTOVAN

Came across this figure a while back ago, BoyCott by Abell Octovan. Standing at 7 inches tall, this resin figure will be produced in limited quantity.



If not mistaken, there will be two different colorway of this figure, black on black and the red on black. Not quite sure though... Personally, I love the packaging. The way the red silk fabric sits on the box to wrapped around the figure along with the alternative fists makes it look so elegant.

I LOVE MONSTERS


PLASTIC CULTURE organizes a mini Kaiju exhibition that showcases the love for japanese monsters, with displaying Ultraman monsters alongside Godzilla and its "friends". A lineup was on-display at the recent "Charity Event for Japan Tsunami Relief" show, and the madness for kaiju in Jakarta Indonesia reached a fever-pitch

The event is suitably named: I LOVE MONSTERS and happens at The Other Culture, 6th level of fX Lifestyl X'nter, on April 15th (from 6pm) and lasts thru to April 17th at 10pm. More details on the Facebook event-page. Shown directly above is the table-spread of Gozillas spotted at the Charity Event on Saturday.

CHARITY EVENT FOR JAPAN TSUNAMI RELIEF by PLASTIC CULTURE


Scheduled to happen this Saturday April 2nd (6pm-10pm) at The Other Culture store in fX Lifestyl X'nter, Jakarta, is the "Charity Event for Japan Tsunami Relief" organized by Plastic Culture.

And how could you be a part in "A Noble Act of Charity for Japan Tsunami Relief"? All you need to do, is list your artworks, toys or any other collectibles that you want to sell for charity, with all sales of these items (between 6PM to 10PM this Saturday in P.C.) are to benefit the victims of of Japan Tsunami via World Harvest. Participants to send a detailed list (inclusive prices) to contact@plasticculture.net asap. Not only is this a chance to do your bit for charity, for folks who are purchasing and not donating, this is a chance to score some awesome stuff too!

The event will also see "Live" Sculpting from Mongar Toys, featuring ToasterBoy, As well a Meet+Greet with P.C. resident artists Saltnpaper and Thunderpanda.

Also note a TOY AUCTION sponsored by The Loyal Subjects will take place at 8:30PM - 9:00PM. Check out updates on the event Facebook page, as well updates on this here blog!
